Integrative Acupuncture
Connecting to a balanced body
Integrative Acupuncture is the stimulation of points on the body with small, fine, flexible needles. It can be used to disrupt illness, disease, or pain that is interfering with our flow of energy, or “qi.” Over time, these energetic pathways may experience illness, stress, or disease and can become obstructed or overactive, leaving us in pain. These areas are examined and needled, in conjunction with light massage or heat to improve mobility, comfort, and overall well-being. Adjustments to these energetic pathways allow us to reach optimal health, to live life to the fullest.
Acupuncturists at OIC are Licensed Acupuncturists also practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which encompasses acupuncture, massage, and other modalities to allow energy flow and whole-body interaction when getting down to the root cause of the pain. Our practitioners look at the whole person and develop an individualized treatment plan to meet your health and wellness needs. This may mean bringing in other modalities within OIC’s practice, such as massage, reiki, clinical herbalism, yoga, meditation, primary care, or counseling.
Acupuncture has been shown to be helpful with the following conditions:
