Marcia (she, her, hers) is a licensed independent mental health practitioner (LIMHP) with over 8 years of experience in multiple mental health settings. Marcia works with all practitioners at Omaha Integrative Care to provide the best standard of care. She provides trauma-informed care that centers the autonomy and wellbeing of the patient.
Marcia has training in working with people during pregnancy and the postpartum period along with parents of young children. She also has a special interest in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and body image issues. She utilizes multiple approaches, including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, Health at Every Size, and Circle of Security Parenting to tailor sessions to each person’s needs.
Marcia graduated in 2007 with her BA in History and International Studies from Taylor University and in 2013 with her Masters in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She trained and worked at Heartland Family Services and Community Alliance. Marcia focuses her practice on adults ages 19 and up.
