Carole (she, her, hers)  is a Coach at OIC and leads OIC’s yoga teacher training program. She has been practicing yoga and meditation since 1995, and teaching since 2005. She has held various leadership roles in her career, as well as owning her own business and leading retreats around the world. Her experience and extensive education inform what she shares and how. Her background and education in the field of mental health fuels her “why”.

With a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Carole has worked with various non-profits over the years. Her previous roles included: therapist, children’s advocate, behavior interventionist, crisis stabilization coordinator, parent educator, childbirth educator, and mental health coordinator. She has found an integrative bridge between her yoga and mental health passions through various modalities, including Mindfulness and Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga.

In regards to coaching, Carole is a graduate of the Duke Health and Well-Being Coaching and the MindBody Somatics Coaching program with Embody Lab. Carole is also certified in the PrinciplesYou assessment, as well as being certified through Level 3 with Quantum Human Design™.

She has practiced yoga and mindfulness in a slender body, a curvy body, and many sizes in between. She’s practiced through the highs and lows of her life including; marriage, career changes, pregnancies, parenthood, dreams come true, broken hearts, injuries, post-surgery, personal growth, family crisis, and love. These varied life experiences allow her to share her skills from an embodied presence, which helps create a fertile field for each person to have their own transformative experience.

 

Carole teaches the following yoga classes each week at OIC:

Slow Flow & Somatic Strength every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Yoga for Well-Being every Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
